Social Studies Collaborations
With a background in history social studies collaborations are a natural fit. When collaborating with History it is all about how I can infuse information literacy skills within their content. Information technology will come into play to get students to think about history in a different way and connect with the content.
Wonders of the WorldThis PBL project is a collaboration between Social Studies & ELA Writing. Students are creating persuasive commercials to convince people to travel to locations around the world. People are no longer using Travel Agents as often and they were put in this authentic real life role. The challenges of creating or reinventing a job.

Human Impact on the WorldStudents were asked to solve a problem in the world that humans have impacted and they presented to an outside audience. Students completed original research and came up with unique solutions for human impact on the world. Some topics included deforestation, trash in the ocean, and habitat destruction.

Branches of Federal Gov't ParodyCreation of original parodies to help their and the public's understanding of the branches of government.
